On 11 December, Co-director of Foreign Policy and International Security Programmes Oleksii Melnyk took part in the round table organised by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Key speakers included former US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter, retired General of the United States Army, Supreme Allied Commander Europe (1997–2000) Wesley Clark, retired General of the United States Army, Chairman of the Board for the Institute for the Study of War Jack Keane, Director of the Atlantic Council's Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center Ambassador John Herbst.

Representatives of government authorities, diplomatic corps, domestic and foreign experts had a closed-environment discussion of the military-strategic and political aspects of Ukraine's national security, including the issue of providing Ukraine with lethal weapons, peacekeeping operation prospects, countering hybrid threats.
