On April 28, 2026, Co-Director of Foreign Policy and International Security Programmes of Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov took part in a meeting of representatives of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine with the Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Viktoria Lialina-Boyko. The conversation focused on the issues of strengthening Ukraine's role in the international scene and countering Russia's presence in international humanitarian, cultural and sports relations.
In particular, measures and lines of countering the use of cultural and sports venues by the aggressor to promote its propaganda, legitimize aggression against Ukraine and spread disinformation were discussed. The participants noted the framework recommendations on participation of Ukrainian civil society representatives in international events, which are also attended by representatives of the aggressor country. The meeting also discussed the update of the Public Diplomacy Strategy and the Communication Strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for 2026-2030.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of further coordination and joint efforts of state bodies and public organizations for effective promotion of Ukrainian interests globally.
