Razumkov Centre Research Fellow on Legal Issues, retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Petro Stetsiuk took part in the International Round Table "Right to Education. Educational Law of Ukraine" that took place on October 25, 2023, at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. The event was attended by the Rector of Taras Shevchenko University Volodymyr Bugrov, President of the European Association for Educational Law and Policy Prof.
Jan De Groof (Belgium), People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 2nd convocation, First Deputy Minister of Education (2016–2018) Volodymyr Kovtunets, retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Volodymyr Kampo, Vice Rector for legal issues and international relations of the European University Maksym Tymoshenko, as well as professors and scholars from various Ukrainian universities.
In his speech, P. Stetsiuk drew the attention of the round table participants to the need for a significant upgrade of the Ukrainian educational legislation in connection with Ukraine's declaration of the irreversibility of its European and Euro-Atlantic course. According to the expert, "adult education", the draft law on which the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading earlier this year, will be extremely important now and, especially, after the war.
