Razumkov Centre took part in a summit of think tanks of the T7 group

May 15, 2024

On May 13–14, 2024, the T7 Italy Summit: The G7 and the World: Rebuilding Bridges was held in Rome.

Think7 (T7) is an official group of think tanks that generate evidence-based policy recommendations for consideration by the G7 countries and their partners. The T7 summit in Rome was timed to the G7 summit, to be held in the summer of 2024 in Italy. The summit was attended by leading experts of think tanks from G7 and other countries to discuss critical problems of the day and to work out the ideas for their solution.

The main topics for discussion at the summit included world conflicts, primarily Russian aggression against Ukraine, geopolitical rivalry, climate change, risks of trade wars and digital transition — challenges that require urgent action from the world leaders. Since the beginning of the large-scale aggression, the G7 has demonstrated unity and solidarity supporting Ukraine, and this topic will be in the focus of the upcoming G7 forum.

At the T7 summit in Rome, Razumkov Centre was represented by its economic programmes director Vasyl Yurchyshyn. At the meeting of the working group "Peace, security and global governance" the Centre’s expert presented a position paper titled "International support of Ukraine as a prerequisite for global food security".
