The Director of energy and infrastructure programmes of Razumkov Centre V. Omelchenko took part in the gas forum, featuring two panel discussions.
Panel discussion 1. Changes in the Ukrainian gas market development in wartime. International assistance for preparation of the gas infrastructure for the 2024–2025 autumn/winter period. Possibilities for ensuring Ukraine's energy security in conditions of zero transit and reduced domestic consumption.
Panel discussion 2. Domestic gas market development in wartime. Transit, storage, sale of natural gas. Gas Release Program. Implementation of the REMIT Regulation. Interconnectors.
During the discussion, V. Omelchenko proposed to make the Ukrainian gas market more transparent and open in order to promote competition and draw large-scale investments in gas production through the introduction of export-import operations and implementation of the EU legislation.
The event was organized by the Energy Club and attended by representatives of NEURC, the Ministry of Energy, industry associations, gas producing businesses, people's deputies, industry experts — the total of 80 persons.
