On March 27, 2026,  Razumkov Centre's research fellow on legal issues, retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine P. Stetsiuk took part in the all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Ukraine on Fire: Society, Constitution, Power".

The event was organized by the Department of Constitutional Law of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and dedicated to the memory of the professor of that department V.I. Chushenko (1931-2011).

The conference was attended by legal scholars and practitioners from the state authorities and local self-government bodies representing different regions of Ukraine.

In his report “Constitutional Development of Ukraine (War Factor)”, P. Stetsiuk drew the attention of the conference participants to the possible options of constitutional development of Ukraine at the end of the war and in the first post-war years, when our state will probably pass three consecutive stages of such development: 1) restoration of the constitutional order established by the Fundamental Law before the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war; 2) adoption of constitutional and legislative changes badly needed to guarantee the national security and defence of the state); 3) drafting and adoption of a new Constitution of Ukraine.
