On September 18, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs A. Sybiha. The meeting was also attended by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs O. Karasevych and the Political Department Director L. Nepop. A. Sybiha outlined the priority areas of the foreign policy, noted the specifics and features of the national diplomacy in the conditions of the large-scale war. The Minister separately focused on strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities, achievement of a just and lasting peace, security guarantees for Ukraine, European and Euro-Atlantic integration, etc. At the same time, talking to the Council members, he emphasized the importance of public participation in decision-making and advocacy of Ukraine's interests on the international stage.

In their turn, the Public Council members spoke about the lines of their organizations' activity, outlined the ways of strengthening cooperation between the ministry and the expert community. In particular, the co-director of foreign policy and international security programmes at Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov informed about the lines and priorities of the Centre's work and reported on the results of implementation of a joint research project with the Public Council, carried out with support from Hanns Seidel Foundation.
