Lecture for students of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs

On March 25, 2024, Razumkov Centre research fellow on legal issues, retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Doctor of Law Petro Stetsiuk delivered a guest lecture for students of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs on the topic "President of Ukraine, as the head of state, guarantor of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine".

The future law enforcement officers learned about the formation of the institute of the head of state in Ukraine, peculiarities of the constitutional and legal status of the President of Ukraine as a guarantor of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and implementation of the state strategic course towards full Ukraine’s membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The lecturer paid particular attention to the constitutional and legal mechanism of cooperation between the head of state and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in matter of supremacy of the Constitution of Ukraine throughout its territory.

The students also had an opportunity to get learn about the Razumkov Centre’s sociological survey of the confidence of Ukrainian citizens in the supreme bodies of state power and its dynamics in the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression.

The lecture was delivered as part of the academic course "Constitutional Law of Ukraine" for 2nd-year students of the Institute for the Training of Specialists for National Police Departments of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.
