Hearings on European and Euro-Atlantic integration in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On May 10, 2023, the co-director of foreign policy and international security programmes of Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov took part in the hearings "Common Agenda for the Transformation of Ukraine in Fulfilment of the Political Criteria for Membership in the EU and NATO", held by the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Ukraine's Integration in the European Union. The Committee Chair I. Klympush-Tsintsadze outlined the goals and objectives of the event, emphasized the priority and urgency of promoting the country's interests in the European and Euro-Atlantic areas.

The hearings were attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada O. Kornienko, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration O. Stefanishyna, Deputy Head of the Office of the President I. Zhovkva, people's deputies, top representatives of a number of ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, etc. Representatives of public organizations also took part in the event.

The hearings saw an interested and professional discussion of current issues on the agenda of Ukraine's relations with the EU and NATO. The Razumkov Centre representative focused on the problem of institutional and personnel support for European integration processes in the context of would-be negotiations on joining the European Union. The participants discussed the progress of implementation of the tasks of integration in the EU and NATO, analysed the current problems and prospects of Ukraine's policy in these domains.
