On October 25, 2017 an expert discussion with leading expert, senior advisor on security and defence issues, British retired General Rupert Smith took place at the Razumkov Centre.

The discussion was also attended by representatives from the National Security and Defence Council, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, experts of the Razumkov Centre and other NGOs. The main topics for discussion were the possibilities for conflict prevention and resolution, the prospects and necessity of deploying a peacekeeping mission in Donbas and the issue of providing Ukraine with new international security guarantees.

On October 25–26, 2017 Mr. Rupert Smith visited Ukraine at the invitation of the NGO “Humanitarian Dialogue”.
