Sitting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

June 14, 2025

On June 12, 2025, the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine held a sitting dedicated to the problems and prospects of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The co-director of foreign policy and international security programmes of Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov spoke about the current relations between Kyiv and Brussels and the prospects of Ukraine's European integration. He outlined the achievements of the Ukrainian side on the path to the EU, focusing on the problems and challenges associated with the Hungarian leadership obstructing the beginning of negotiations on accession and the activation of right-wing radical forces in Europe.

The head of the All-Ukrainian Public League Ukraine-NATO S. Dzherdzh spoke about our country's relations with the Alliance and described the processes and trends within the Euro-Atlantic community on the eve of the NATO summit in The Hague. Following the discussion, the participants approved the Public Council Declaration proposed by the Razumkov Centre.

The document emphasized the importance of promoting Ukraine’s European integration, ensuring consolidated EU support for Kyiv’s movement towards the European community, and joint resistance to the Russian aggression. The Declaration also stressed the strategic importance of further strengthening and expanding the military-technical, financial-economic, scientific-technical partnership of the allied countries with Kyiv. The Public Council members will, as before, spare no efforts to support Ukraine’s integration in the EU and NATO.
