The Razumkov Centre is a regular participant in events and activities within the U4U (Uniting for Ukraine) international platform. 21 June 2022, Mykhailo Pashkov, co-director of the Centre’s Foreign Relations and International Security Programmes, took part in the U4U international roundtable "East Neighbourhood Forum: Prospects of the EU-Ukraine Association".
During the discussion, Katarina Mathernova, the Deputy Head of the General Department of the European Commission, emphasised the historical significance of the successful EU enlargement to the East and the need for Ukraine and Moldova to take steps towards it by implementing relevant internal reforms.
Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, spoke about Kyiv’s readiness to implement pro-European reforms. She emphasised the importance of the EU's consolidated assistance in the post-war revival of Ukraine.
Inna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine's EU Integration, drew attention to the need for effective protection of basic common values and resistance to Russian influence.
In turn, the Belgian expert M. Emerson stressed the importance of gradual, step-by-step approach of the candidate countries to the EU.
