On April 19, 2023, the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine passed a statement tabled and drafted by a representative of Razumkov Centre on the state and prospects of Ukraine's European integration.

The statement notes the progress and features of the movement towards the European Union in the conditions of a large-scale war, emphasizes the significant progress of Ukraine in implementation of the package of recommendations of the European Commission and introduction of the provisions of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.

The Public Council members reiterated the strategic importance for Ukraine of the beginning of negotiations on joining the EU in 2023 and called upon public councils under Ukrainian central authorities, public organizations and expert circles of Ukraine to actively promote the idea of starting the negotiation process in their contacts with European partners and on international platforms.
