Scientific Seminar "Impact of the war on the constitutional system of governance in Ukraine and other Central and East European countries"

At 11:00 a.m. on December 1, 2022, the Ukrainian-Polish Scientific Seminar "Impact of the war on the constitutional system of governance in Ukraine and other Central and East European countries. Constitutional determinants of the reaction to Russia's armed attack on Ukraine" will begin its work online.

The event is organised by the Higher School of Law and Administration in Rzeszów (WSPiA Rzeszowska Szkoła Wyższa) together with Razumkov Centre.

Polish and Ukrainian constitutional scholars, political scientists, specialists in international affairs and independent experts will take part in the discussion.

The following issues will be discussed:

  • assessment of Russia's attack on Ukraine under the international law; assistance to Ukraine after the Russian aggression from the viewpoint of the constitutions of other countries
  • the legal system of Ukraine after the introduction of martial law as a result of the Russian aggression; the role of parliament in wartime.
  • threats to the constitutional systems of governance of other countries after the Russian aggression against Ukraine; the Russian constitution in the conditions of aggression against Ukraine.
