On October 4, 2017 the international round table “Before and After the Elections — Does the Populism Retreat?” took place in Kyiv. The event was organized by the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine and the Embassy of the Austrian Republic in Ukraine.
Deputy Director General, Director of Political and Legal Programs of the Razumkov Centre Yuriy Yakymenko participated in the round table and delivered a speech “Populism as a feature of modern Ukrainian multiparty system”.
In his report Y. Yakymenko identified the main features of the “Ukrainian version” of populism, its manifestations in the activities of the political forces at various stages of Ukrainian party system formation, as well as its social and political reasons.
