On 20 November 2019 a conference “Ukraine after Presidential and Parliamentary Elections: New Government – New Opportunities?” was held in Berlin. It was organised by the German Institut für Europäische Politik in collaboration with the Razumkov Centre.
The Centre’s Yuriy Yakymenko, Deputy Director General and the Director of Political and Legal Programmes, opened the conference with the main speech, largely based on the presentation of the results of the study “Ukraine after the elections: public expectations, policy priorities and development prospects”.
Oleksiy Melnyk, Co-Director of the Centre’s Foreign Relations and International Security Programmes took part in the panel discussion “Security policy: key political challenges and opportunities for settling the Donbas conflict”.
More than 100 representatives of German and Ukrainian government agencies, academic institutions, civil society organisations, members of the diplomatic missions and media representatives participated in the conference. The event was held within the German Ukrainian Researchers Network — GURN project.
