An expert survey was recently conducted on the Facebook group page “Academic Sociology: Observations, Measurements and Conceptualizations”, which brings together many Ukrainian professional sociologists. The poll was initiated by Mykhailo Mishchenko and Serhiy Dembitskyi. The group members were asked: “In your opinion, what is the political regime in Russia — democratic, authoritarian, Nazi, fascist, other?”.

71 experts took part in the survey. 66% of respondents said that the Russian political regime was fascist; another 17% identified it as Nazi; for 11%, it was authoritarian; and 6% added their own answers (Putinist, chauvinistic). Not a single expert identified the Russian regime as a democracy.
