On 27 March 2019, Razumkov Centre held expert discussion "War in Donbas: Reality and Resolution Prospects", which was the first stage of the project implemented with support of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Among the participants were representatives of Ukrainian legislative and executive authorities, researchers, government and independent experts, representatives of international organisations. Razumkov Centre presented its analytical publication that contains an analytical report (working draft), sociological study results, interviews and articles by Ukrainian experts on the Donbas conflict.
Participants discussed the analytical report focusing on the following:
- Geopolitical aspects of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine
- Current situation and ongoing processes in the occupied territories
- Possible scenarios of further (medium term) course of events in Donbas, including in view of Ukraine's elections
- Best possible moves for Ukrainian government's internal and external policy to ensure resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine (minimisation of its negative consequences)
