On October 25, 2023, the Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Research named after O. Razumkov held an expert discussion via videoconference "Influence of migration processes on the progress of post-war recovery of Ukraine, migration policy of the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries".
During the videoconference invited participants discussed a number of issues related to the processes of adjusting the Eastern Partnership initiative, the Neighbourhood policy, the principles of the EU's economic, security, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine in connection with the regulation of migration processes; the risks created by forced emigration and rapid depopulation of Ukraine for the recovery of the national economy; the mechanisms, ways, formats, means and prospects for the return of Ukrainian citizens who left the country as a result of the Russian aggression; proposals for the governments of Ukraine and the EU countries regarding the improvement of cooperation in the field of regulation of migration processes.
Representatives of the government, civil society, think tanks, donors, and the diplomatic corps were invited to take part in the event.
