On December 15, 2025, Razumkov Centre will hold an international round table “Multidimensionality of securitization and tools for its implementation in Ukraine”.
The round table will be held within the framework of the project “Concept of securitization of the state policy and society and prospects for its implementation in Ukraine”, carried out with support from Hanns Seidel Foundation Office Ukraine, as the final event in a series of expert discussions on general approaches to the problems of Ukraine's national security, identification of bottlenecks and threats and tools to counter them, strengthening statehood, good governance and democracy in Ukraine during and after the war.
The project results should make the basis for further sector-specific and interdisciplinary research and practical activities, pursuing a common goal — national security and development of a democratic Ukraine during the war and in the post-war period.
The event programme will feature:
1. Short (up to 15 min.) thematic presentations:
- Conceptual principles of securitization of the state policy and society and prospects for its implementation in Ukraine — M. Sunhurovskyi, Razumkov Centre.
- Total defence as a priority of the state security policy in the Nordic countries in the context of growing Russian aggressiveness — FIIA Representative.
- Priorities of the state policy and social activity in Ukraine in the context of the Russo-Ukrainian war and in the post-war period — Y. Honcharenko, Project Manager of the Foundation for the Promotion of Democracy, Chairman of the "Ukrainian Security Club".
- Key problems of nuclear safety in Ukraine in terms of protection of critical infrastructure facilities — S. Kondratov, Center for Security Studies, NISS.
- Key problems of democracy protection in Western countries — Elena Ventura, Carnegie Europe Foundation.
- Constitutional principles of a democracy capable of defending itself — P. Stetsiuk, Razumkov Centre.
2. General discussion.
Representatives of the state authorities, local self-governments bodies, governmental and non-governmental think tanks, public organizations, domestic and international experts on security issues are invited to take part.
The event will be held on December 15, 2025, at 13:00–15:00 in a mixed (offline/online) format at the Press Centre of the UKRINFORM National Information Agency (Kyiv, B. Khmelnytskoho St., 8/16).
Working languages: Ukrainian, English, simultaneous translation.
