100 days of war. Battles and operations of the Ukrainian army that impressed experts

June 06, 2022

In more than three months of war against Russia, the Ukrainian armed forces managed to win their first victories and prove themselves both in individual clashes and in battles of strategic importance. BBC News Ukraine interviewed military experts who presented their own top fights by the Ukrainian army in this war.

When the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February, Western intelligence and manyforeign governments predicted that Kyiv would fall in 2–3 days, and all of Ukraine — in a matter of weeks. This did not happen.

Even more, the first 100 days of the war showed that the Ukrainian army is capable of defending successfully and even advancing despite the enemy's significant superiority in weapons and manpower.
