Mass attack on Ukraine is an attempt to requite for Putin's humiliation, says Oleksiy Melnyk.

The one-man show in Red Square on May 9 turned an evident humiliation of Putin, hence, the recent mass attack may be seen as an attempt to take revenge and get kind of satisfaction.

Ukraine, according to the expert, will not try to strike at the Russian Federation in response to last night's events. Instead, it will work systematically to weaken the aggressor and inflict maximum damage.

Thanks to reports submitted in red or whatever colour folders, Putin believes in an imminent victory. But this is not true, says Melnyk: "in fact, the count of strikes is not so important, but I dare say that in terms of efficiency and range, Ukraine is ahead. The war has long been transferred to the Russian territory."

Regarding the Russian air force activity over the Baltics and other incidents on the EU borders, Oleksiy Melnyk sees the main danger in the risks of stray incidents in conditions of poor communication. Expansion of the conflict is possible, if we take into account a number of Putin's critical miscalculations during the Russo-Ukrainian war. The aggressor has two ways: escalation of the war in Ukraine, or opening a second front in Europe. Both options are real.
