"Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity"
At 12:00 on January 31, 2024, Razumkov Centre will hold an expert discussion "Gender specificity of forced migration from Ukraine to the EU during military conflict."
The expert discussion will see presentation of the Razumkov Centre research paper "Gender analysis of forced migration from Ukraine to the EU during military conflict", prepared as part of the project supported by the Initiative Center to Support Social Action "Ednannia" within the framework of the Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity project, implemented in a consortium with the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM) thanks to support from the United States Agency for International Development.
Its materials contain the results of a public opinion poll among forced migrants from Ukraine to the EU in the conditions of military conflict.
The discussion is expected to cover the following issues:
- The ways, formats, means and prospects of return of Ukrainian citizens who left the country as a result of Russian aggression;
- Assessment of targeted measures intended to encourage forced migrants to return and to create possibilities for their temporary or permanent reintegration;
- Proposals for the authorities of Ukraine and EU countries regarding the improvement of cooperation in the field of regulation of migration and return of Ukrainian citizens to their homeland.
Representatives of the authorities, politicians, scholars and experts in the field of migration are invited to take part in the discussion.
The working languages are Ukrainian and English, with simultaneous translation.
