On December 22, 2020 the Razumkov Centre hosted an online presentation of the publication "Euroscepticism and the Future of Europe", prepared by the Trans-European Association for Political Studies (TEPSA).
The publication "Euroscepticism and the Future of Europe" contains 40 articles that reflect views on the spread of the phenomenon of "Euroscepticism" in recent years in EU member states, candidate countries (Albania, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey), the country-members of the European Economic Area (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein), and such countries as Great Britain, Ukraine, Kosovo. The causes of Euroscepticism, its forms, and recommended measures to reduce the negative consequences are analysed in the publication.
An article on the situation in Ukraine was prepared by experts from the Razumkov Centre — a member of TEPSA.
The following issues were discussed:
- Is there any reason to talk about the spread of Euroscepticism in Ukrainian society and Ukrainian politics? To what extent does the Ukrainian domestic political situation reflect pan-European tendencies?
- How important is the topic of the country's European integration in the activities of Ukrainian political parties, in particular, during the elections?
