The Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, to which Razumkov Centre is a party, adopted a Statement on Russian terror against the civilian population of our country in connection with the massive air attack on August 28. The aggressor delivered a strike on Kyiv with 629 aerial vehicles, killing 25 people and injuring 53.
The statement emphasizes that the peace talks and the summit in Alaska initiated by the United States not only failed to contain the Russian occupiers, but on the contrary were seen by Putin as a carte blanche, giving him a feeling of impunity.
The Public Council emphasizes that hopes for the appeasement of the aggressor are proving futile. The Kremlin only steps up terror, mocking the efforts of the collective West to call on Putin to cease fire. The aggressor does not yet feel the maximum summary economic pressure that limits its military potential.
Members of the Public Council call upon partners to strongly respond to Russian terror against the civilian population, to stop the Russian military machine with strong and consistent actions.
