Round table “Tools for countering threats, strengthening statehood, good governance and democracy in Ukraine”

On November 26, at 1:00 p.m., a round table “Tools for countering threats, strengthening statehood, good governance and democracy in Ukraine” was held in the Razumkov Centre premises (33B T. Shevchenka Blvd., Europe Plaza Business Centre, 7th floor). 

The event was held as part of the project “Concept of Securitization of the State Policy and Society and Prospects for Its Implementation in Ukraine”, carried out by Razumkov Centre with support from the Hanns Seidel Foundation Office Ukraine.

The round table discussed the bottlenecks of the existing system of national security at the national and local levels, measures taken by the state and society to eliminate them and counter threats, the necessity of and obstacles for efficient state-civil partnership in this area.

Representatives of the Ukrainian state authorities, think tanks, higher educational establishments and public organizations were invited to take part. 

The results of an expert poll and recommendations for the formation of tools to counter threats were presented.

  • Countering home policy challenges – V.V. FESENKO, CEO of the Penta Center for Political Studies
  • Adaptation of the economy to the conditions of martial law and post-war period – I.V. BURAKOVSKY, Head of the Board of the Institute of Economic Research and Policy Consulting, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Economic Theory of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”
  • Tools for countering threats in the social sphere – V.S. LUPATSIY, co-founder of the NGO “Ukraine-Nordic Alliance” and the National Platform for Resilience and Cohesion
  • Means of countering Russian IPSO – Y. HONCHARENKO, Vice President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Democracy, Chairman of the Ukrainian Security Club
  • A Systemic Approach to the Organizational Principles of Countering Threats – S. YAKIMYAK, military expert of the Centre for Defence Strategies.
