The Director of Energy and Infrastructure Programmes of Razumkov Centre V. Omelchenko took part in the NEURC working meeting on January 29, 2025. In his remarks, he noted that it is not the TSO function to support the development of RES at the expense of the transmission tariff but emphasized that the transition to new mechanisms should be well thought-over and gradual, as indicated in the roadmap.
Most of the participants in the meeting, including the Regulator, agreed that in wartime, a radical change in the mechanism for supporting renewable energy enterprises is unacceptable, both from the viewpoint of the market stability and investment attractiveness.
The NEURC working meeting was attended by people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Energy, USAID, the Energy Community Secretariat, branch associations and energy experts from non-governmental organizations – a total of 30 people.
