On December 9, 2023, the Director of Energy and Infrastructure Programmes of Razumkov Centre V. Omelchenko took part in the NEURC meeting "On Adoption of the NEURC Resolution "On setting the tariff for electricity transmission services of NEC "Ukrenergo" for the year 2024".
The NEURC meeting took the following decisions:
- it approved the tariff for electricity transmission services (except for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises) equal to UAH 528.57/MWh (less VAT);
- for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises — UAH 364.70/MWh (less VAT);
- and approved the structure of the tariff for electricity transmission services.
In his comments, V. Omelchenko, in particular, made emphasis on the overstated forecast of the Guaranteed Buyer price for 2024 and the lack of convincing evidence regarding the possible restructuring of the NEC "Ukrenergo" debt by state banks, which may lead to an increase in debts on the market.
The meeting was attended by NEURC members, people's deputies, heads of energy and industrial enterprises, and energy market experts (up to 40 persons in total).
