It is highly likely that the construction of Nord Stream 2 will be completed. Gazprom guarantees financial security and fulfilment of this project. If this pipeline is built, it is important to take measures for minimising its use as a functioning business unit (reduce the load and the like).

Ukraine is backed by the United States in this matter. Therefore, further targeted sanctions against certain companies involved in the Nord Stream 2 project and individual top managers of these companies are quite likely.
