European Counties Change Attitude to Ukraine

April 05, 2022

Europe is a community of nations, most of which have very fresh memories of aggression. This only strengthens the EU’s willingness to support Ukraine.

This conclusion can be reached by analysing the latest opinion poll of EU citizens, conducted by the European Council on Foreign Relations from 21 to 29 January 2022, in 7 European countries, including Finland, France, Germany, Italy and Poland. A total of 5,529 respondents were interviewed, with a 3% error.

In general, findings show that societies of the leading EU countries will perceive the war between Russia and Ukraine as an attack on the current security order on the European continent.
