War in Ukraine and experience of Western Balkans: a dialogue between Ukrainian and Serbian experts

On November 30, 2023, the co-director of foreign policy and international security programmes of Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov took part in the international round table "Ukraine the day after the war: lessons of Western Balkans".

The event was organized by the Serbian Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the non-governmental organization RESECO (Belgrade). Scholars and independent experts from Serbia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed the ways and prospects of ending the war in Ukraine in the context of the experience of the Balkan countries, the role of international institutions in the process of building the post-war security system in Europe, etc.

In his report, M. Pashkov outlined the situation in Ukraine during the war, described the specific features and prospects of Kyiv's foreign policy. The speaker separately touched upon the topic of effectiveness and efficiency of regional and global security structures in modern realities, talked about Ukrainian peace initiatives, in particular, the Peace Formula, seen is a universal tool for ending the war and securing fair and sustainable development of the whole world.
