On April 11, 2023, the co-director of foreign policy and international security programmes of Razumkov Centre M. Pashkov took part in a meeting of the Public Council of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry. Speaking on the problems of European integration, he focused on the chances of beginning negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU. M. Pashkov outlined the progress of implementation of the Commission's package of recommendations, noting that the Ukrainian side has made significant gains in pursuing the relevant reforms and may hope for the accession negotiations to start as soon as this year.

At the same time, the speaker drew the attention of the Public Council members to the progress of implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. The Council agreed with the proposal of the Razumkov Center representative to appeal upon Ukrainian public organizations to promote the idea of beginning accession negotiations with the EU.
