On September 23, 2009 Razumkov Centre together with the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine conducted the Round-table "Diversification projects in Ukraine’s energy sector: state, problems and ways of achievement". For the Round-table the Centre prepared a special issue of the «National Security & Defence» magazine (No. 6, 2009), which contains the analytical report of Razumkov Centre and the articles of experts in the oil and gas sector. During the meeting the following issues were discussed: - Diversification of the sources of natural gas supply to Ukraine in the context of implementation plans of the new gas pipelines in Eurasia;
- Prospects of implementation of diversification project for the oil supply to Ukraine on the basis of the “Odesa-Brody” oil transportation system and transportation of the Caspian oil to European countries;
- Issues of diversification of world fresh nuclear fuel supply by “Westinghouse” company, construction of a plant for nuclear fuel production in Ukraine and Ukraine’s participation in the activity of the International Centre for Uranium Enrichment in Angarsk (Russia).
